I was looking at this Tenda BE12 Pro for Β£140 tendacn.com/uk/product/BE12Pro
It seems to be good?? Described as overkill by a friend I asked which I guess maybe for my 1 bed flat but I want to get one that'll still do the job when and if I manage to move to a bigger place

It's supported by OpenWRT which seems like a good option to have
I like the vertical design, works better with the space I have
Downsides: Dual band not tri, does that matter?
Less known brand but they have been around a long time

hey so my recent internet outage has really underlined the fact that my ISP's supplied cable modem/router combo actually completely sucks at being a router therefore I am thinking of getting a separate one
However I haven't purchased a router in many years so I would like to ask if anyone has any advice, things to look out for, recommendations etc

want to make an open world game where the first time you ask about a place, the npc goes "here, let me mark it on your map" and from then on whenever you open your map it just has "twat" written on it

By the way here's something that sucks. I have a NAS with a bunch of downloaded TV so I at least have something to watch in lieu of streaming. But apparently my ISP's router/modem reboots periodically when it has no internet connection so I can't even access things on my INTERNAL network reliably

I waited from 8am to 2pm with no sign of the guy so contacted him and was told I hadn't been put on his job list and he'll figure out what's going on and get back to me πŸ™ƒ

Always hated mixing sweet and savoury. Began calling it "pervert food" when I was 13 and it's stuck in our family. One of my mum's friends came over for lunch while I was at her house yesterday. She asked if her friend wanted lunch "pervert style" which meant drizzled in honey.

When I see statements like "teenagers are spending 4-6 hours online, instead of going outside and meeting people" as a justification for further web regulation, I wonder to myself:

- if it had been 4-6 hours reading books, practising musical instruments, creating art, or similar, would they be demanding that books, instruments etc. have a watershed? If not, why not?

- what is the "acceptable" amount of time for a teenager to spend online each day? What makes it so?

- "going outside and meeting people" suggests a particular worldview of what is "good", which will appeal to - indeed, be possible for - some people far more than others. I was never massively sociable, and that's no crime. A day at school, and now work, would involve plenty enough peopling time for me. I am far more sociable online then offline. Where are the local free places where teenagers can get to and hang out, safely, in the warm? (They might exist in some places?)

Tomorrow morning. Could be as early as 8 so I'll have to get up at 7:30. Love that for myself

Currently waiting with bated breath to find out how soon the engineer can come back

I need the internet for work so I've had to use mobile data. And I only have a limited amount of that so I'm having to avoid anything bandwidth heavy in my free time. Can't watch streams can't watch videos can't do fuck all

My internet has been slow and unreliable since Monday, I had an engineer out to look at it today, he replaced a damaged cable and left and now it doesn't work at all
