May I have some words with the people who designed the Inkscape interface?
Hey @lizardsquid -- is fixing desktop GUI programs like Inkscape and Audacity something you can do?
If so, I will find a way to pay you.
Because this is ridiculous.
@woozle that's actually what a signifcant proportion of my previous job was: fixing the GUI of a program to be more useable

@lizardsquid It's open-source, we can do what we like (and such contributions are generally welcomed, is my understanding).
If we like what we accomplish, then we submit a pull request for it to be incorporated into the official codebase.
If they don't accept the pull-request, then we keep it as a fork.
