Grayson is really interesting to me as a fursona because in a way he is a reclamation of a lot of what I feel like I left behind when I started to look at having a more girl self-image. A lot of my gender associations are the opposite of "traditional" ones, with associating cooking and baking and soft vulnerability with masculinity, and athleticism with femininity. When I started to think of myself as girl, I think I left a lot of the masculine stuff behind.

And Grayson is in a lot of ways the reclamation of that. I really like the idea of making a Grayson fursuit, even though he doesn't match my gender presentation, because those parts of me are still really important to me, even if I don't identify as masculine? Idk there's something comforting about just having a soft cute side of yourself (and doubly so when he has nice soft paws and takes things like a subby champ)

I certainly don't think I'd be comfortable being called Grayson or referring to myself as he/him, but he's still a really important part of my entire complicated identity schema? I think that's weird to say but it's important.

@RhiaCat that's really cool!

I've always admired Grayson's willingness to be soft and cute, because it's something I admire in masc people in real life
