There's a cellar spider (daddy long legs) wandering around in circles on the ceiling above my head, and I wish it would just decide on a direction and stick with it

I should have predicted this.
It was going in circles because it was putting web-connection points on the ceiling, and then it used those to hold the line it used to descend in place.
