ADHD (~)

I'm struggling with my ADHD at the moment.

At work, it's fine! I'm able to concentrate and everything.

But at home, I'm really struggling. I get home at 6pm.
It takes me over an hour to cook dinner, and I often just forget to clean up afterwards.

I sit down to watch a few videos during dinner, and then it's suddenly 9:30pm and I don't have time for any of the things I was planning on doing because I have to go to bed at 10pm.

idk what to do

ADHD specific advice would be appreciated

@lizardsquid

I think the big problem here probably isn't your ADHD but the fact that you only have 4 hours from coming home to going to bed. One of which you spend cooking. So you have three hours to calm down and maybe start doing some chores and maybe even things you actually enjoy. That's borderline impossible - even for a neurotypical brain. Now, i get that you can't just work less. But what you can do is realise that you're exhausted. Not blaming yourself will make it easier, I promise.

@lizardsquid Are you able to pre-make dinners on the weekend? I agree with Lex that the time you have after work isn't enough, so any way you can automate things or lift the load, would help? Could you also structure the things you want to do by days of the week? Like "tidy kitchen on Tuesdays & Fridays", etc?

Personally, having some time that I can "buffer", ie, just be quiet, has a refreshing effect on me, so if you can have 30 minutes of that after work/before home work, could help?
