capitalism is such an awful system for running a society - maybe it's good in theory, and we could take a few ideas from in it for a part of a larger society, but it doesn't work on a large scale

@lizardsquid The problem is that capitalism DOES work. It's working precisely as intended.
That's what's really scary about it.
@lizardsquid I think capitalism has it's problems, but true capitalism is actually quite wonderful. For example, an open market without moderation is an awesome idea and it works in practise too. Alas, people in government cannot resist the temptation to enforce arbitrary laws which pollute the capitalist society with socialist components.

@lizardsquid Does any economic system work for running a society on a large scale? I doubt it.
