emails all from one organization:
"greetings student,"
"greetings [DEADNAME],"
"greetings resident!"
"greetings,"

(someone from the counseling center, aka the only fucking piece of the school that asks you what you go by and sticks the fuck to it)

the school has a preferred name setting. it just doesn't do anything on most of the computer systems

or most of the anything

the only fucking thing i have been able to get right with this school is showing them my passport so they have me registered as female, so if they fail to put me in gender inclusive housing next year for arcane reasons at least i'll not end up surrounded by dudes.

i almost didn't get this because they had a checkbox for gender inclusive housing but didn't include info about the form you have to sign for it

but yeah places where your preferred name is put:
student email
the name listed when you log in on computers

that's it.
everything else, including student rosters, uses the wrong fucking name. you have to go hand a note to your teacher and hope they give a shit

2 teachers of mine have been nice enough to print out custom versions of the roster and have personal notes about who's who so they don't fuck up.

half the time, i still have to sign an attendance sheet with my deadname on it.

oh one more thing before i return to pleasant distractions:
d'you know what they told me the preferred name tool was for?
professors, not students. it's just a tool available to anyone anyway.
