@lizardsquid if you're using the lts they defer to security and stability over new hotness. if you don't want that, don't use the LTS.

@fzygal even with the non-LTS stuff I've found packages that were 6 months to 2 years out of date

@fzygal no as in... software that's up to date on my nixos computer is shockingly out of date on ubuntu
