it's kinda weird how I've been gravitating towards easier and easier games as time goes on

@lizardsquid I've found myself almost totally disinterested with games where shooting (or other lethal combat) is the default way of interacting with the world. More story-driven point-and-clicks, RPGs with flexible approaches, Heat Signature etc.

the shooty games I used to enjoy I still enjoy, but new ones don't capture me at all

@lizardsquid Which means most Hard Gamer Games slide right off me, even though I'm usually very good at them. PUBG is almost profoundly uninteresting.

@Zero_Democracy I enjoyed pubg, but only because I was playing with friends!

when I played it alone it was incredibly bleh

That isn't more informative. I gravitate toward games that take less mental energy for me, but those are different from what takes least energy for you. And even a seemingly simple game like Flow Free starts to demand technical mastery at some point.
