I want to do things, but I'm not doing them. Why? because I'm supposed to be studying and I would feel guilty if I did them instead

so instead... I do nothing.

This is a problem that plagues me every single semester, and has caused me to fail 6 subjects.

the worst thing is I know this is happenning, and I still have no idea how to stop myself from just sitting here, feeling miserable

@lizardsquid same
therapy usually works
can you try that?
do you have access?

@Efi there's free counseling at uni, but the way they do it has meant I get denied it every single time and I've left the counseling building in tears multiple times because of that

@lizardsquid I've been through the same stuff. There's no one concrete solution, but some things that may work are doing 5 minutes of study as payment, then allowing yourself to do half an hour of the thing you want to do, or doing the thing first and then doing the 5 minutes of study. Also sometimes moving into a different space can help, just moving to the kitchen or the balcony or whatever.
