This looks like the ribbon connector of the LCD to the mainboard is slightly out of socket maybe?
Could be a simple reseating fix.
Though why scared?
@Irick @lizardsquid issue is its not just the lines, sometimes massive blobs of colour (one colour although the color is sometimes different) lines are okay.

Oop, hit toot by accident.
Yeah... Blobs make me want to think it's something in the analog portion of the unit, but that could be anything from the analog portion of the GPU to the cord itself.
I mean, the good thing is there are probably plenty of replacement parts floating out there, that's the really nice thing about Macs.
