so we still have doubts sometimes about who's saying what...

anyone knows ways to solve that? there's two of us, and sometimes the things we type are kinda muddy on who's meaning them. fronting isn't clear-cut. or maybe that's just the other's doubts seeping in? blah. who knows.

we're so dozey and hard to focus today

mist rambles about social media

on the other paw!

an open stream of consciousness helps people who have been shunned away from all the other already established secluded communities to find people they can relate to.

so maybe they can form their own communities?

well... this is where this ramble becomes more personal, but this hasn't quite worked for us yet.

and maybe that's because social media is too addictive to leave.

add that to the fact that, as others have already put it way better than i could, the social media format is designed specifically to be addictive.

in places like twitter and facebook, this is so they profit more off their users. mastodon might not profit off it, and that's, well, a little better, but... the addictive format is still there.

how can we make this better? haha, i have no idea, nor a point, i've just been mulling this over in my mind

i don't mean to insinuate there's an exclusive, absolute truth here, but

maybe communities formed in more secluded spaces such as forums or channels are healthier than those formed in the openness of federated systems?

smooshing all different kinds of people together in a single stream of consciousness can't be good. but neither are echo chambers. i think there needs to be some balance

i tried to type "comfortable" and twice now this phone wanted to correct that to "comforble"
