@minego I haven't figured out streaming to it yet, though I'm clearly going to have to eventually.

@minego Oh hey me too but I haven't had much time to play with it yet. Only really played Race the Sun so far (and had to use a keyboard to control it).

silly productivity hack

Instead of having a todo list, I have started making numbered todo lists starting at 1. Each list is finite (well, new things have to go somewhere but once I've done the "write this list" task it's finite) and includes only things I can do immediately (if doing something in list N enables a later step, that step goes in at least list N+1).

I don't have to go through them in order, but the numbering provides a sense of progression that one rolling list would not.

OK it turns out I cannot find the motivation to keep several blocklists up to date. Back to turning on NoScript, since the web has become more annoying than it.

@hollie FWIW I use RSS, but my reader can pull in email or fedi just as easily.

@emerald I don't think the root matters - it's a reply to your own post. But either way, I didn't see the boost because it got combined with the normal, post.

I would say when reviewing I'm not looking for bugs so much as things that will make my life harder in the future. Is it the right approach, is it easy to reason about, does it need tests, do we understand why it works?

Since I am very behind on social media, I just read this today apenwarr.ca/log/20260316 and I think how CW deals with this in practice is:

  • Different levels of review in different branches. Little to no review in specialized/short term branches, extensive review in our long term dev branch. And we work on both concurrently.
  • Fill the pipelines. While I'm waiting for reviews I work on other stuff.
  • Prioritize reviews/tasks that block other people.

Wait, so, are your direct relatives your out-laws?

@hollie I can feel the wind on my toes today. I don't think this is going to work when it's colder.

@hollie Uh, there's not much to say. I kinda just picked the first thing that came up on amazon: amazon.com/dp/B0CWH1SFMK

I have been wearing them while walking, and they remain comfy. I do not plan to switch back to normal shoes.

If infinite scrolling were opt-in, would people opt in?

I basically wanna make the devolution gun from Super Mario Bros. (1993) for websites. What was once static HTML will be so again.

Brutal and all-too-familiar.

Hey I just found out VVVVVV has a setting for "turn on glitches that were patched out" and I think that's really cool.

@hollie I relate to others not playing as fast (or as slow) as I'd prefer in async games. Although the async stuff I do is cooperative.

I have acquired barefoot shoes! I just put them on and they feel immediately comfy. (CC @hollie)
