i think an an under-appreciated way to hang out with someone is to just sit in the same room together, working on separate things.

sometimes it's nice to just silently enjoy someone's company.

i think the reason i prefer to go by gender-neutral pronouns online is that /my gender shouldn't matter/. judge me by my ideas; check your prejudices at the door.

in-person, sure, it's difficult to avoid being gendered, and i don't really mind. but online it's easy.
