in this enby's opinion, it would be better the other way around - you should be empowered to affirm your own gender with every word you say, while someone talking about you out of earshot shouldn't have any say in the matter
it's a little weird that pronouns can be such an important facet of gender identity when they mostly come up when the person in question isn't around
like, it's great hearing someone your correct pronouns. but even if I know your pronouns I will almost never have an opportunity to use them to your face
It feels weird when art tutorials approach "how to draw boys!"/"how to draw girls!" as if they're different species. Certainly study why something looks feminine/masculine to you, but don't let it limit you! #arttips
@quirk i don't make the rules
hello hello! i just posted a world premiere performance/recording of a new piece for solo piano! Atwood Pastorale is a dreamy, ecstatic, mysterious exploration of an imagined landscape pulled from an opera-in-progress i'm writing with AriDy Nox. Maeve Brophy played the world premiere performances on a concert supporting trans and gender non-conforming youth, and i'm thrilled to share that performance with you in honor of #Pride today! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_TJaVinmVE
