in this enby's opinion, it would be better the other way around - you should be empowered to affirm your own gender with every word you say, while someone talking about you out of earshot shouldn't have any say in the matter

it's a little weird that pronouns can be such an important facet of gender identity when they mostly come up when the person in question isn't around

like, it's great hearing someone your correct pronouns. but even if I know your pronouns I will almost never have an opportunity to use them to your face

I've said it before and I'll say it again, but third-person pronouns are kinda bs and english needs more first-person pronouns

It feels weird when art tutorials approach "how to draw boys!"/"how to draw girls!" as if they're different species. Certainly study why something looks feminine/masculine to you, but don't let it limit you! #arttips

where's that post that's like "any d&d campaign must have at least one player who is using it to work through gender issues"?

I need to send it to someone

hello hello! i just posted a world premiere performance/recording of a new piece for solo piano! Atwood Pastorale is a dreamy, ecstatic, mysterious exploration of an imagined landscape pulled from an opera-in-progress i'm writing with AriDy Nox. Maeve Brophy played the world premiere performances on a concert supporting trans and gender non-conforming youth, and i'm thrilled to share that performance with you in honor of #Pride today! youtube.com/watch?v=7_TJaVinmV

it's non-binary day

I dressed masc today because I felt like it and that's okay

went to a pride event today and it was really nice seeing friends, and just like, existing in that space, but now I'm home and I miss everyone and I'm scrolling through the :computerfairies: local timeline hoping to recapture that feeling but it's not really working
