Encryption finished.
FileVault is so weird, it encrypted fast while I used the computer. Otherwise it dragged out the estimated time to 8 hours+
@mary it was probably using your use of the computer as entropy for generation
@mary might have just wanted to be fed some more delicious entropy
@troubleMoney That's what I was sort of thinking but it's the sort of thing I would expect just playing a video in the background would help but it it didn't really do much. So long as I kept it from dimming the display it seemed to stay at a decent speed 🤷
@mary I seem to recall a lot of the ways for grabbing entropy were from mouse movements and keypresses and stuff
@troubleMoney Maybe! Could just be they wanted "higher quality" entropy or something
