so, what open source projects are good and welcoming with new people getting involved, particularly ones who haven't contributed before?

@slooploon oh ich hätte glaub ich einfach gesagt "da ist kalk / ein kalkbröserl in meinem tee", aber hm ja du hast voll recht, meh, und in der situation ist es sowieso eindeutig, hm.

@davidsgallant also helps to achieve a sufficient amount of crunch in your diet, very useful actually

okay I deleted a toot because I am an insecure cat, too insecure to whine about being too tired and lazy to do uni stuff

…wikipedia informs me that there is a German word for this as well, but I refuse to accept it because it do not like it and am not planning to use it, ever

Show thread

the "German has a word for everything" myth is a myth, English has a word for… limescale

in German it's just a super ambiguous generic word that usually means the mineral/related stone/whatever, not the thing that you find in your kettle

Show thread

@Jules me too, i just remembered that i actually did a thing, just… not the thing that i had planned

…I discovered that my phone cover is really nice to chew on

and remembered that I'm kind of disgusted by bite marks on things

oh well

Oops apparently it is already very late afternoon, almost like evening

*promised itself to do things today, but really didn't*

it's dangerous to go alone, take

my love, take my land
