I'm wondering if any instances specifically targeted towards game/art/music/etc creative types will show up, or if someone needs to make one...
That's mostly who I want to hang with anymore, tbh. As much as programming has been my life I kind of don't actually care about tech all that much. Creators are much cooler people, and often feel a lot more thoughtful about the reception of what they're trying to do will be.
@mauve i think I've seen one, but i don't recall the name. something with "creativity" in it, i think?
Not quite the binary I was expecting. (From a friend on bird site.)

I'm done with the site and ready to share it with you all.
If you are in tech and identify outside of the gender binary please come (or speak) at this cool event I am running.
@abgd i got used to doing that on twitter, some folks with eating disorders are muting the tag there.
@jollysea hmmmm. still sounds nice tbh. but maybe you're right.
I'm not really the downloading kind of cat because I can never keep track of which episodes I've watched, I totally rely on visited links changing color on streaming sites lol
@Jules rest is good :> i hope your head can get some rest. <3
@Jules oh noooes :( (https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues/2016 is about this i think? but i'm too lazy to actually read it so not sure m)

Been thinking about writing a simple online security check specifically for Mastodon instances, to make it easier for end users to actually get a rough idea of the security of their instance.
Stuff I've been thinking about checking so far:
β Check if ports 3000/4000/Postgres are publicly reachable
β Check if Mastodon is up-to-date
β HTTP headers
β nginx/webserver version
Any other ideas for things to check?
