I imagine that Garth Nix was probably asked regularly whether he was reeeaally suuure that the Clayr only take men to their chambers, when they live in a glacier full of marvelous women, and he thought about it and was like, no, actually I'm not that sure, let me correct my mistakes. :3

(I feel like I have to quote this discovery into my "things that I don't like about the Abhorsen series" thread, because finally, in book 5, the Clayr are no longer straight computerfairi.es/@maunzikation)

I'd really like to use my cybre.space account as well, just because I like the aesthetics and it also looks like a nice place, and it seems like a waste only to have it as a fallback, but I'm reaaally bad at account splitting… I never know what to put on which, and I don't have any real topics that I talk about that would make sense to splinter off. So. Feeling a bit guilty for not tooting there, but also, no, I don't think I'm going to change that.

I was momentarily confused when I walked into the kitchen because everything was so bright (I came up with the explanation that the coffee might be on fire but it definitely wasn't), until I discovered that it was sunlight, coming in through the window. what a peculiar sight, I'd never have expected it.

weird thoughts, imagined deaths

…i just made myself cry while making coffee because I somehow ended up imagining what it would be like if a friend that I haven't seen in a while died *eyeroll*

this is so unnecessary, brain, please stop

also, good morning, what a nice day

…i'm listening to this to fall asleep, theoretically. I keep being distracted by plot, whump and now a mention of the existence of queer ppl

I question my audiobook choices but I do not regret

OMG FINALLY

Queer people exist in the Old Kingdom

There's a passage in Goldenhand about how some Clayr are lesbian and many are bi 🌈

The first book is about as old as I am I think, and idk, it's just kind of exciting that now, in book 5, the author still chose to make queer people exist? it's such a small thing and not actually ~representation~ (so far at least), but I really didn't expect it

please tell me which people are cool and who to follow
must be autistic friendly, crip friendly and queer friendly and also tolerate cat photos

only anti racist people allowed

food

@ni_c_k_ole aah i never use more than a tiny bit of that :D salt is probably about my 3rd least favourite flavour (I'm not sure which I actually like the least though, probably that radish/mustard/etc thing, I'm not even sure what that taste is)

food

Ah. I forgot to put salt on my food. Now I''m conflicted. I'm actually very happy that it's not salty, but tofu really doesn't taste great without salt.
