Aaah, I feel like I'm cheating time by skipping Clariel. I SHOULD have listened to it before Sabriel, or at least, well, now, because chronological order, but gnaaah I don't really want to right now
Mhm I was thinking of "The Creature in the Case", and it seems to be included in "Across the Wall", but there doesn't seem to be an audiobook. This is sad.
Also isn't there a bunch of other stories? I remember reading a small purple book that i didn't love but omg
I have to see if these exist as audiobooks as well *doesn't want to miss things but is too lazy to read*
Omg
I finished Abhorsen (not for the first time but I tend to forget a lot of the plot of books)
Aaaaaaah
I think I have to skip Clariel and listen to Goldenhand? (which I don't know yet aaah so exciting, but then, I didn't like Clariel (the book, the character was ok), so what if I don't like Goldenhand either, what if I just don't like the newer books :o
dream about family stuff
also, dreaming about people misgendering me is super annoying and of course this dream contained that super fun element as well
dream about family stuff
i dreamed that my parents kept telling stories about how great my brothers are and all the amazing things they're doing, and in the end my mother started to talk about me, and it seemed as though she was trying really hard to say nice things, but she just kept getting it all wrong, talking about plans that i had never had, believes that I was offended by, and it was so obvious that she just didn't find anything worth mentioning (or even remembering) in my actual life
@squirrel I think the appropriate response would be for everyone to open an identical issue about it. (with a message at the bottom saying "I know that this has already been opened, but it's just a few KB.")
With news of Unroll.me selling user inbox info to Uber, lots of people are repeating "if you're not paying for it, you're the product."
I've said before, and will continue to say, that that is the wrong formulation. Sometimes you pay for it and you're still the product – look at US ISPs. Sometimes you don't pay for it and you're not the product – free software.
The real question is whether a software or service empowers users, which can't be boiled down to whether you paid.
Ok, I made a new secondary account at cybre.space (since neither mastodon.social nor the other place that I'm at are really where I want to be when computerfairi.es is having troubles): @maunzikation@cybre.space
I think I'll just import my follows, sorry if that is annoying :O You don't have to follow, just know that I might be there when I'm not here (it's also linked in all my other bios now)
*feels like one of those people who prepare for disaster as a hobby, but in cute*
Call of... Help?
Looking for a few people, who'd be willing to work together to host, manage, and contribute to a Mastodon Wiki.
We want to decentralize stuff like this, and not everything has to be under Gargron.
It will be a great place to collect things like how to help out (with other stuff than code), who to contact.
Contact info for server admins.
Etc.
I know there are a few WikiMedia people around, who's up for it?
