Oh ok but Librarything has an app that I didn't know of yet. I'm going to try this… it can't be worse than the Goodreads app, lol. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.librarything.librarything
I think not long ago I said that using Goodreads and Librarything worked ok for me…
Actually, I'm back to hating both. Why are they so terrible. Librarything is one huge compromise and really only ok as "I don't want to be ONLY on Goodreads", and I don't think Goodreads is even trying to be good at anything beyond the very necessities of book reviewing.
(Tell me of any alternatives that you might know, please.)

Oooh I didn't realise the instance picker at https://instances.mastodon.xyz/ already exists! nice *goes post at birbsite*
Anyone have recommendations for interactive intro to coding courses? Maybe videos or actual interactive experiences? I've been trying to read books on Javascript but my ADHD prevents me from focusing long enough to maintain the information.
As an aside, is Codeacademy actually any good? I'm getting mixed signals on it.
Life is Strange just has too much bullying and abuse in it for me to not be completely terrified? I don't think I'll play any more of that.
@Jules Here's a fun fact: Weavers sorta had computers before computers existed. The jaquard loom used punch cards to save complicated brocade or damask patterns. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loom#Jacquard_looms
They do belong in the family tree of inventions that led to modern computers. :D
>> One does not need to be experienced in computer science to use a ready-made computer program. There are already many on the market and more being advertised all the time in weavers' periodicals. ...
What does one do, however, when there seems to be no ready-made program available to use with a particular brand of computer? ... A third answer which could lead to tailor-made usefulness and greatest independence in the long run is, "Make your own program to fit your own interests and equipment."
