@mavica_again i've been tempted to try that but there aren't any good frontends for handling multiple accounts on fedi... also, it gets annoying to manage following and stuff.

i wonder if you could use some sort of serverside trickery to create something like pluralkit with sub-accounts... but then you'd probably get people mad at you for "block evasion" or something.

@root yes! yeah same thoughts

it's why we never bothered with it much

we all had accounts on twitter but since i got banned the rest of us haven't really wanted to be there anymore

even pluralkit it doesn't occur to us to switch until later and "oh maybe that was someone else talking"

it's been 3 years and we still don't have a handle on the controls lmao

@mavica_again yeah thankfully we all sorta have like. different internal voices? so we can usually figure it out

@root we’ve considered making a fedi server that allows for sub-accounts, and yeah, blocks are a pretty big reason as to why we aren’t actually working on it Right Now

there’s really no way to communicate to other software like “this is an alt/sub account of user [x], if that user is blocked, this interaction should also be blocked”
and not all software federates blocks (and they probably shouldn’t at all), so we couldn’t handle it on our end either :kyuuchan_think:

i think the only way to really solve this would be to somehow get mastodon, misskey, and pleroma to support an “alt account of [x]” parameter

@starshine ideally blocks should never be federated yeah
