i wonder if debian 11 wine would run windows 9x games as well as true windows 9x on the same 21 year old machine or if the overhead is too much

@mavica_again 16-bit stuff in Wine tends to not go great because it's hard to work on and doesn't get much dev/testing.

@madewokherd i expect early 2000s win 98 games to be 32 bit, don't think much after 3.x was 16bit

@madewokherd i did manage to get peggle deluxe working but only at half playable speeds after i disabled opengl for gdi instead

haven't found any 32mb vram era d3d games i wanted to try yet

@madewokherd oh, although, for the record Fuji golf which is a 16bit 3.x game (i think drawn in winG?) works beautifully in wine

@mavica_again True, I was thinking 95 for some reason. By 98 it was mostly installers, I'd guess.
