i hate the word "app", and yet it's wormed itself into my vocabulary as well because i'm autistic and i copy everybody else. fuck "apps". give me back programs. give me software suites. turn the web back into pages where the most interactivity is a guestbook and cursor trails
the worst mistake in modern computing was to wrench webpages into being anything more than webpages and into "apps"
i swear to god we should never have strayed further away than basic AJAX
