i was making 19k USD/yr as a software engineer for a NYSE-traded financial company. everyone i know told me after i explained all what my job entailed that that was a six-figure job in the US. i don't want that much. i just want to live
i'm tired of doing work for free under the guise of technical take-home exercises for companies i know will reject me anyway because i don't have the right keywords on my resume or other bullshit reason i just want anything near USA minimum wage and i'll have enough money to live
generally just having a horrible time today thinking about how in 6 months i still haven't gotten a job so i don't have an income to burn money on plane tickets to see my girlfriend and just dreading starting 2023 without a job and having a really grim outlook on life
woke up to a firefox update which has introduced a new feature that crashes my tabs every 5 minutes for seemingly no reason
