here's my experience with linux: in over a decade of using it i have never once in my life enjoyed setting up a linux system. i have done it more often than i have set up windows systems and mostly only for server reasons but linux is not and will never be a desktop daily driver. it's a great backend but there is no cohesion or proper care in its frontend and it has only been declining ever since gnome changed paradigm like three times already (the thing people like to rag on windows for!)

@SweetBlackHearts @zens windows is bad? i haven't had that kind of experience. i have two #Windows10 systems, an old Thinkpad and a desktop gaming PC. i typically do projects with windows based os. i use #linux only in systems without a graphical interface because trying to use any user interface devices on linux is a spawn of satan. i work as a software engineer and never had a single #linux work computer.
