got reminded today during a conversation about how by the age of 12 id already moved 4 times and how more than once in my life the principals of separate schools have suggested to my parents that i be moved to another school for being a victim of "excessive bullying"
childish because it was literally just named that way after the character in pulp fiction and the maintainers for decades on have since refused to rename it despite the second-hand embarrassment it is to try to use such-named software in English-speaking professional environments
the free alternatives to adobe thing is going around at the same time as news that RMS is rejoining the FSF and i just want to remind people that the GNU Image Manipulation Program has a childish ableist slur name and that Glimpse is better in all regards
