i grew up with a super nintendo surrounded by kids in recess who all had rich parents importing PS2s from the USA before they became more affordable here. it sucked
never being able to afford one when it was new, or able to justify the cost now that it is "retro" and upmarked by scalpers online

i will never not be pissed how someone convinced others i'm more privileged than them because they had a minimum wage retail job in the US and i have a "cushy" tech job in the third world. we made roughly the same amount of money after conversion
