@fesshole@twitter.com A few years ago, when we were struggling to make a software delivery date, we would send unformatted disks, then claim they must have been corrupted. Gave us an extra couple of weeks to stuff finished. 😐

The publisher of the PS2 game I was working on threatened to pull funding if the game didn't maintain a steady 30fps. It ran at 20 at best. We couldn't optimise it any more so eventually just wrote some code that added 10 to the FPS counter. They were happy, game shipped on time

glad resources are going to this instead of fixing the horrible power system that led to a major crisis during an unprecedented snowstorm and preventing actual death and harm. cool country keeps getting cooler twitter.com/erininthemorn/stat

i'm so glad i never bought voicemeeter, what a piece of shit

i literally cannot increase the latency any more. it's already several seconds between input and output and i still get a grotesque .3 second drop out every few seconds and people are expected to pay for this product

how much buffer is enough to avoid audio buffer underruns using vbaudio under Windows 10? because 32k samples is still not enough

i'm really pissed off at vb audio and Windows right now how nothing short of a reboot fixes any audio buffer underruns

Show thread

it's 2021 and with 12 cores 7168 samples of buffer aren't enough for routing 44.1khz audio without underruns

VGA to HDMI to Composite to EZcap

signal degradation? don't be ridiculous, i'll be lucky is there's a signal at all to degradate in the first place!

i probably have the only compaq armada 7800 in the world using gelid ocx as thermal paste on the pentium II

for that matter i'm probably the only or one of a very few people who have used gelid ocx on a pentium II

(it was cheap and left over from reapplying paste on my GPU)

if you unironically think any of the above is true then go fuck yourself. later
