it was not U28. i resoldered it and it's still dead. everybody else on the internet is adamant that U28 is the only thing that kills an iBook G4 this way. so i'm looking at wasting twice as much money to get another one that's probably a slower model haha

takes a lil bit to load but tenfourfox can reasonably tweet from an ibook g4 with 512MB ram

it's a bit cooler now, but taking quite a while to cool off. maybe it's just tired li-ion cells. seller reported it working, holding up to 1h30 charge on the ibook still. wondering whether i should keep using it or not

i can't find this information anywhere online: will a 1GB 400mhz DDR SO-DIMM stick work on an iBook G4 (PowerBook6,7) or can it only take 333mhz ones? 333mhz is the "minimum speed" according to everymac but it says nothing about compatibility. 400mhz ones are cheaper where i live

before shipping the ibook the seller formatted it and set it up with an user named "thanksforbuying"
