apparently disccatte/galacticfurball is back and i am having none of their non-apology. i've seen them well before the accusations and they're absolutely right.
in my opinion, they are all doing it right
i love how insular "we need to bring retrocomputing back" groups are. everybody is working towards a common goal without ever collaborating on it at all. everybody hates each other. which if you've ever been on usenet or BBSes, is very apt for retrocomputing.
that pentium III held on until it died and got replaced by a "pentium dual core" by the time when core2 was a thing
in my experience these were the rich kids' computers. we had an ailing pentium 3 in the beigest case ever that dare not even have a manufacturer name on it
