we need a trash developers conference, where people give excited presentations about running useful, exciting new software on computers they found in the trash.

If anyone in Seattle has a place for me to stay, I would greatly appreciate it.

I will couch surf for a while. As long as I can park my car, I'm good.

I'm gonna be working my ass off to ensure this is a temporary thing.

it is so very cool how because I decided to spawn outside the USA in the game of life I get to be hired for a Senior ANSI C Developer position and still be paid less than 30k/yr USD

please understand the dichotomy between website and Web app i've made web apps before and i've used javascript to make them yes it's neat that the convergence point of web browsers has made it the easiest distribution platform for software that has more native overhead than Java but if'm i'm looking for just some words and pictures i don't need you to run code on my machine

if your website doesn't function at a base level without a javascript engine you made a mistake somewhere

if you see people from other instances boosting posts they probably wouldn't have, looks like that's possible to just randomly happen on mastodon without their knowledge. happy posting!

Show thread

managed to track the original post down from this instance but it does not show as me having boosted it. it shows on my profile remotely from another instance. great !

Show thread

the boosted post in question is not even viewable from this instance. what the fuck happened

Show thread

i just looked at this profile from a remote instance and it shows a boost that i did not consciously do (i'll chalk it up to fat fingering my phone) but i cannot see that same boost in my own instance here to undo it. i love mastodon

Do you think I can request asylum to Canada and then apply to MAiD

you posted suicidal ideation! you're going to lose followers!
