started working on some icons and adding them to my netizen home. it's slow progress but i'm happy to have finally added something new to this page

after many hours bashing my head against my webhost, breaking another website on it, netizen homes will finally have php hosting

i do not know a single person for whom do-dist-upgrade has ever worked a single time

i've been on linux dependency hell for hours now because ubuntu bionic (18.04) has php7.4-fpm and php8.2-xml but not php7.4-xml or php8.2-fpm so i can't use 8.2 with fpm sockets and 7.4 can't have DOMDocument and i can't upgrade from 18.04 because it just won't do it and won't tell me why it won't do it linux is such a good piece of software

maybe i'm just not as popular as jwz. which, ok, fair

wondering what is it that made jwz's blog break under mastodon link preview load yet lesbiaboard works with it fine (and yes every link preview hit shows as a guest viewing the forum)
