i have been looking for years for a website i used to visit fairly often around 2005. i cannot remember the name of it, or of anything in it.

it was dutch, it had an avatar chat similar to palacechat (i remember other websites using the same avatar chat engine, and i was obsessed with them for a while)

it's possible the website's main focus was something other than the avatar chat, because it had characters and a webcomic. you could have avatars of the characters in the chat

someone put fuckin sponsorblock marks on the computer chronicles' hp and spa bumpers on youtube lmao

what was that amiga track that went dun da dan, da dan dun, dee dadum dee dum

oh it might be this one? youtu.be/81qCH_JxAfw?t=1416

it doesn't look like a bad demo though, i wonder if he was recalling a different demo, it's possible this would be a second time Norton was on the show after it started being syndicated

i was lucky enough to manage to get an email through to Cheifet back in 2020, thanking him for Computer Chronicles and, in jest, hoping that John Dvorak had finished putting back together that PS/2 he took apart by now.

he remarked on a tidbit that he mentioned in other interviews, about a demo by Peter Norton of UnErase that went badly on stage, sadly i reckon that must've happened on an episode prior to Computer Chronicles' syndication and i couldn't find any traces of it

reading my past blog posts and falling in love with myself slowly again. i will persevere and do more cool things worth blogging about. i am worthy of love

i really don't want to have to run my own because i know i'll never get anyone to join

i'm also accepting suggestions for any other type of avatar chat as well, so far i've spent like 4 hours trying to find any but either they no longer exist or have been maintained and updated to only work with modern browsers

people who don't know me are way too quick to demonize and proselytise about the dangers of "putting a windows xp computer on the internet"

i've been kicked out of so many communities for hearsay of things i either genuinely didn't do or was never given a chance to know about to even reflect upon and that probably explains why i'm so scared of joining anyone else's community rather than try and make everything from scratch myself

(negative, do not like)

"you need more than a dual core and 4gb of ram to use a modern browser these days"

all rise for the national anthem (hymn to aurora by horace wimp starts playing)

you know it's going to be a good website when the url ends in :8000/

every time someone puts modern linux on an older computer without full hardware support unlike the OS contemporary to it an angel loses its wings

dear USAian trans bragging to me how health insurance paid your SRS: congratulations on the last message i'll ever see from you
