i'm almost 30 and the only people i talk to on a daily basis are coworkers who couldn't care less about my personal wellbeing and my girlfriends and i'm feeling extremely stifled that i have nowhere else to hang out in

i miss how much easier it was to meet new people and make friends when i was a teen

sure everybody back then turned out to be a creep but at least it beat feeling lonely

im frustrated i have no virtual spaces to be me in and meet new people

im frustrated i have almost no friends online, the spaces im in are either super idle or i'm not really a part of them

and vrchat doesn't count because you can't have an avatar that's you unless you have hundreds of us dollars or know how to 3d model and rig

what happened to online social spaces. what happened to avatar chats. yes i know second life and furry muds are still a thing but you gotta be in the know to actually meet anyone because just running it won't bring you anywhere people want to talk to you
