so i can't replace kernel32.dll with the blackwingcat windows 2000 extended kernel EVEN on safe mode. i can't find a single other soul on the internet who's experienced any issue like this, can anyone please tell me what i'm doing wrong?

i can't boot into safe mode because the laptop does not detect external keyboards until it's in the OS even if it's a PS/2 one

i say i have the only one because no amount of googling finds any other person with the same problem as me. no matter what i do, i just can't replace kernel32.dll with the newer one by blackwingcat

apparently i have the one version of windows 2000 online which locks kernel32.dll from being edited which means i can't install kernelex...

built-in sound is just a 7-pin header that tore off the board, i might be able to bodge a new connector. keyboard might be relatively accessible to replace, but going to need to import from outside my country...

well after a long day of work on the Compaq armada i managed to go from partial sound and partial keyboard to no doing and no keyboard, killing my new expensive toy in a record two whole days

definitely one of the most intimidating keyboards i've ever taken apart
