TLDR: In ten days last month, the Wikimedia Foundation fired the longtime lead developer of MediaWiki and disbanded the team whose entire job was to listen to volunteers. Most of the people they fired were union organizers. Wikipedia’s editors are now threatening to strike in solidarity. The Foundation is sitting on $296 million in reserves and a freshly profitable AI revenue stream.

And then the app is just an Electron wrapper around the same JS they could have put on the website if they didn't hate you personally
over 50% of my phone's downloads folder contents are accidental, which i don't bother clearing out because phones have made file systems a burden to browse and explore, because why would you now that everything is clouds and apps

i promise i keep thinking about fixing and upgrading computer fairies. i just hate the prospect of actually doing it and never get to it. but i do think about it and it hangs over my head like a dark cloud
next year computer fairies will be 10 years old and in 2 years lesbiaboard will be 10 years old
they're both kinda frumpy and broken around the edges but that's longevity you can't say for a lot of web spaces anymore these days
