As I see more and more websites offering dark themes, I wonder if there should be a browser API to query the user preference.
I should be able to specify that I want dark themes in the browser, and then websites would respect that.
Of course, browsers/extensions could do additional stuff like setting the light theme during the day and the dark one during the night, integrate with the operating system or tools like f.lux/redshift, set it based on the ambient light.
