My favorite Ren Faire story:
I knew a guy who kept a Starfleet insignia pinned to the inside of his garb. A few times per season, some folks would come to the Faire cosplaying as a Star Trek landing party, investigating a “primitive” world.
He would take them aside, show his insignia, and identify himself as a Starfleet officer on a cultural research mission. He’d call them out for breaking the Prime Directive and ruining his research. Then he’d demand to know what ship they’re from, and threaten to get them court martialed if they didn’t change into something less conspicuous.
@fkamiah17 So they want to arrest homeless people, lock them up, charge them, take them to court (eventually), convict them and presumably send them to jail to be locked up in overcrowded prisons, where they need to be fed and treated for ill health, so we'll need to build more prisons to house and care for them.
So why not cut out the expensive cruelty theatre and just provide some, you know, houses and services to house and care for them outside prison instead?
hey there, it's #tdov so i'm going to be humbly asking for any help at all that people can give to help a disabled trans woman get married to her partner, despite the awful costs involved due to visas, https://gofund.me/580dbcb4 .
Boosts are welcome, likes are not, if you don't care to at least increase the range of this, don't bother interacting
While interview q's about marriage & children are not legal, US employers may ask women indirectly: "Are you moving here by yourself?" Study (N=760) finds deflection (respond w/ a question) is better at the personal level; confrontation at the social level. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ejsp.3062

I get I'm a baby trans in most ways, having started transitioning only about four years ago. Ever since then, though, I've felt very visible as being a trans woman --- before, I was an accomplished researcher in quantum computing, even collaborating in the design of the first fully adaptive quantum language.
After, though? It suddenly felt like people saw being trans as the most important thing about me.
If you're an ally this TDoV, see the trans people around you in their totalities.
Trans woman, bisexual, someone's fiancée, forever a programmer, poly, and former total mess
