For anyone posting today who needs to hear it, trans is a descriptor not a subcategory
Short woman = woman who is short
Funny woman = woman who is funny
Trans woman = woman who is trans
There is no difference, trans woman is just a type of woman regardless of how well she passes for cis, how much or how little she's done to make her body match who she is, or how cishet society insists she think of herself.

If all the colleges in the United States doubled their tuition, would they still fill their classrooms? Yes. This has already happened.
Medical school is perhaps even more inelastic: being a doctor is a privilege for which some people will pay any price. If medical schools doubled tuition and physician income scarcely changed, would the practice still attract hordes of ambitious pre-meds? Already happened.
Similarly, if medical schools increased the opportunity cost of attendance, i.e. increasing the GPA, MCAT, and extracurricular requirements, would students still apply in droves? Already happened.

Super happy with my Framework laptop by the way!
The module system is great. I printed a snack drawer today! Now I can always take three peanuts with me!
heh. There's a note in the ps2dev library (which allows an arduino to emulate a PS/2 keyboard) that there's some possible incompatibilities with the PS2Keyboard library, which allows an arduino to act as a keyboard controller.
because of course. why not have two arduinos talk to each other by pretending to be a PS/2 keyboard and PS/2 keyboard controller?
I should build a network out of this.
Just saw a meme that pretends that, unlike the US, enlightened European countries tax billionaires at near 50%
This isn't true
Billionaires are business owners and investors. What actually happens is that they take a modest income (for a billionaire) which is taxed like that because income tax is high. Then their business gets tax deals where they pay single digits of corporate tax. Then the profit is paid out as dividend tax
Dividend tax in the Netherlands for example is 15%. So while billionaires are taxed, they're taxed like 20-30% on the vast majority of their actual income, and that's assuming no cute tricks to get around a lot of that, too. Billions can afford you some nice accounting tricks after all
Delete your #Glassdoor account.
They're now adding real names to accounts, and making them public.
