ok here's my idea for a fuck google webring

  • your website must be a personal website with some form of content beyond contact and preferably a little more than a portfolio
  • if your content updates regularly, rss would be nice
  • webrings your site are a part of should be displayed prominently even if in a subpage, with appropriate links to previous/next pages
  • your website must not break at a lack of javascript
  • bonus points for old browser compatibility (FF2.0/RetroZilla/Classilla)

Game and Watch mains are the type of blokes to miraculously float towards the aroma of a freshly baked pie.

Game and watch mains are the type of mfs to go "wiwiwiwi" when sleeping and have a big bubble on their nose

Game and Watch mains are the type of blokes to not fall until they inevitably look down

Game and Watch mains the type of guys who's hearts and eyes extend from their bodies when they see a sexy lady

Game and Watch mains are the type of people to have steam coming out of them when they get angry.

Game and Watch mains are the kind of fellows who's nemeses paint the image of a tunnel into the side of a wall to trick them, only for those Game and Watch mains to run right through the tunnel that got painted and encourage their nemesis to try to do the same thing, at which point they of course slam into the wall, as they had hoped the Game and Watch main would do instead.

Deleted and re-drafted this to fix a autocorrect mistake and forgot that meant it was no longer posted directly after the post I boosted 🤦‍♀️

It is this technically my last boost though, just some other posts in-between

LB: you could make a website right now

I made a quick website you could check out if you want to find me in other places
foxquirk.neocities.org/

Honestly, I think I would need have a little more content, a blog post maybe, before anyone would be at all interested in my website

If you have a website, can I join your web ring? 🥺👉👈

I was gonna boost a web 1.0 nostalgia thread, but turned out to be just defeatist, and yknowha? no
web 1.0 never died
what has died is the will to make it grow
you can totally make a webring right now if you want
you can make a shitty table with thick borders and yellow backgroung
you can make whatever website you want even if it's bad and under construction and you never finish it, but leave some poetry in one of the links
what is stopping anyone from doing this? it's definitely not twitter, or a shift in technology
just fukn do it if you want, dare do it, there's literally nothing to lose

me: do you sell ducks?

him: yes, but they're going quick

me: ok I'll take one

[later]

duck: quick

me: I see

@q our top-notch sysadmin team is monitoring the situation closely!

i found an exciting new dinner venue near me on Apple Maps — not sure if i'll like the cuisine, but it's an option

Was talking to a friend about how some of the music in The Room sounds a wee bit like the music in 3D Movie Maker and got to thinking, what if they used "Flowers Good.mid" instead of "Flowers Evil.mid" for the flower shop scene?

nonono, you didn't understand. we were supposed to containerize the *computers*, not the *developers*

"Piracy can't be stealing if paying for it isn't owning"

This is increasingly how it feels, when streaming shows disappear for tax reasons and things you "own" digitally become inaccessible.

Thank you @Illuminatus for this quote.

⚠️ HOT TAKE ⚠️

cohost is a nice website run by cool people and i enjoy the things that are posted there and the people that inhabit it. it's design philosophy is admirable, despite its growing pains. i hope it succeeds in its mission, which will be a net benefit to the internet and its users.

⚠️ HOT TAKE ⚠️

officially . please get in touch with me if you know of any remote positions for an all-around programmer, developer, interface designer with 10 years experience. i can do pretty much anything with computers and i need to survive. :boost_ok:

homelabbers be like "aw man what a long day of working on computers time to go home and kick back and relax by working on computers"

The FFT algorithm is a complex and convoluted one.
