okay. trying again with Ubuntu Server.
i want a GUI, but i want it to only start up a desktop environment when i remote connect.
how do i go about that.
@PsyChuan If you're happy to wait I'll spin up a VM tonight and see if there are any pitfalls re running it on a headless server.
@renbymon that'd be lovely. i'm still new to this. it's installed okay but i really do not know my way around setting up servers.
