Well that's the end of an era; the last day using Windows on my desktop. When I wake up I'm installing Gentoo on it.
Ended up going with LMDE as I got a bit frustrated during install. x)
@renbymon I hope that works out better for you! I remember back in 2001 considering a move away from Slackware. I ordered a load of CDs, and gave about half a dozen distributions a week each. Only RedHat didn't make the end of the week. I eventually settled on Debian, and have been using it ever since.
Picking a distributions is a difficult thing, it's like picking a partner!
