BLTouch sensor and dual gear extruder fitted! Also set up Debian on an old thin client to be the local access point for Octoprint, and maybe for other things too!
Haven't got everything for the printer BUT I have fitted a string of LEDs to the top of the printer enclosure frame for some light inside it, and strapped a webcam to the top so I can keep an eye on prints using OctoPrint!
The printer is now in it's new home but I'll need to fix the Extruder, and I want to fit the BLTouch bed sensor, before I do any printing
AHHH did most of the sanding and it feels SMOOTH! Supergluing both halves together and once that's cured it's fibreglass resin time again and Then the final filling and sanding!!!
Fist time using wood filler and actually found it easier using my fingers to spread it all on.
Decided to replace the epoxy bonds with fibreglass resin instead!
@Pipponprops suggested this as a stronger method of joining 3D prints. Thanks for the advice! :)
OKAY two halves have finished gluing. I've put some epoxy on the joints for strength and tomorrow I'm gonna cover it in wood filler and sand it back to be smooth!
Hokay!!! Half glued! Superglue should have finished curing tomorrow and then I can fill in the joints with epoxy.
Finally got myself a #DJ flight case for my mixer and CDJs. I'm going to have to make up some custom power and audio cables, but once done I will be able to just put one box in the car rather than multiple boxes!

I do want to share this piece of wonderful gift art from Devlin (pictured as the victim).
Devlin surprised Epoxy, so got a nice thick coating of glue for his trouble! It's best to leave Epoxy alone when she's

Gluing pieces together using glue and once it's cured I'll go over the joins with some epoxy before starting on finishing!
Though I present mostly as a Renamon, my Supervillain character "Epoxy" has kinda become how I want to present myself RL.
She's MtF trans and has glue spraying gadgets to subdue "do-gooders" and the like!

It's about time I got to glueing the 3D printed helmet together. That's tomorrow's job.
After gluing I need to work on gluing and finishing/painting, then I can work on the cage and finally the visor. 3/3
I'm not sure if I've mentioned it here but I'm a HUGE fan of a villain character called "The Dark Knight" (pictured below) from an old BBC kids show "Incredible Games"
I've wanted to have a cosplay of this since I was a kid, and this year I should FINALLY be able to do this!
I commissioned someone to make the cloak and another to 3D model the helmet, which has been 3D printed and just needs putting together. 1/3
Renamon is, ultimately, the reason why I'm a trans girl. In the early 2000s I saw some photos of the official Renamon mascot suit used for live shows in Japan, and that started me on a journey to wanting to be a Renamon and also to be a girl. β
It's taken me a real long time, nearly 20 years, to realise it and have the courage to accept it. I used to tell myself that I couldn't be a girl as I was too masculine, but the support I've had from my friends has been wonderful!
Heck wow what a week it's been!
I went to ConFuzzled last week and had a roller coaster of a time. Saturday night was spent feeling pretty lonely and sad about myself but things picked up and on Sunday through to the end of the con I had a fantastic time!
Was really good to see friends and I also got to dye my hair and present more femme again in public.
Also GOSH I got to meet a Renamon fursuiter and that was such a magical experience. I really need to get my own Renamon fursuit!!
