Who killed Britain?
This Danish article has the correct answer: Thatcher.

"Around two-thirds of Britons believe the country is in decline, and it's not hard to see why. Real wages are lower than 15 years ago. A third of British children grow up in poverty, many millions have to skip meals every single week. The UK is not just significantly poorer than France, let alone Germany or Denmark. The poorest 10% of Britons now also earn less than the poorest 10% in Slovenia...

"A particular story of decay still plagues the country... and it goes something like this: the 1960s and 70s were a dark time... Then Thatcher came and saved it all with economic common sense, tax cuts and a necessary showdown with unions... But that narrative is fundamentally wrong... Margaret Thatcher did not increase the growth of the British economy... The post-war period, including the 1970s, was the time of high growth and major transformations... an economic model reminiscent of the one found in the rest of Western Europe was established... In the 1980s many countries lowered taxes, removed regulation, encouraged deindustrialization and privatized public enterprises. But Britain took exceptionally radical action. Today, it is Europe's most financialized economy, with very high inequality - and a very low level of both public and private investment in the economy.

"Four criminal acts have destroyed the economy.... Monetarism in the 1980s, deregulation in the 80s, the austerity policy of the 2010s and Brexit. All motivated by the same economic thinking... free market fundamentalism."

You’re running out of time to secure a naked young man to plant your cucumbers

This morning I was laid awake thinking about this and how it looks more egg shaped than spherical. I did look at exercise balls (which I migh revisit in future) but then it hit me that I could make a cage, out of string, for the balloon to inflate inside.

It should hopefully constrain the balloon enough to keep egg shaped and might even contribute to a more pumpkin shape! I'll give it a go on Tuesday eve.

So I kinda got inspired/motivated, haha

It doesn't look very pumpkin shaped but it's been a long time since I did any sort of papier-mâché

"got games on your phone?"

Here's Haywood and Olle in a little cat and mouse situation! The unease and the obliviousness to that makes it a bit hard for these two to be in the same room. 😹

I lied, i don't have netflix. Take off your shoes we're playing word rescue

I've heard digimon (digital monsters) are the champions.

Been feeling pretty squirmy about Reaper (from Overwatch) in his Pumpkin skin and heck I really want to make a cosplay of this!!! >.>;;

I'm an abandonware radicalist; not only should abandoned software have its source released, abandoned hardware should be opened up to development to stop it being ewaste.

Can’t wait to get the garage turned into a workshop this summer as I’ve been wanting to work on things for months but it’s only now that the weather has been okay enough for me to be out there without running a space heater.

LB: Yet another reason why Windows 10 will be the last version I use. Decision has already been made that I’ll be switching to using a mix of Linux and Mac machines and whatever I can’t do isn’t worth worrying about. The only thing keeping me on Windows has been games, but with Proton and the like I really don’t care anymore.
Also I realised that I really don’t care for new games releases anymore; I have a core set of games I play and if I can’t play any new ones well that’s okay.
