Can any IT mutuals recommend a good small knife/box opener? Could do with one for opening taped boxes and cutting plastic straps in the office rather than using a pair of scissors.

Africa has just taken one of its boldest steps yet toward digital sovereignty. On September 1, the African Union switched on the Continental Internet Exchange (CIX) – a sweeping project designed to connect Africa’s 1.4 billion people through a shared, continent-wide digital backbone.

Global platforms like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft remain accessible, but they are no longer the default gateway to Africa’s digital economy.

That not only protects citizens from foreign surveillance but also ensures that revenues generated from digital services circulate within African economies.

Mutual Aid - Surgery - Politics

I don't often do this, but an artist friend of mine is trying to raise funds for gender affirming surgery in a hostile location. They're selling off cheap commissions to try and raise about $5k. If you can help, or signal boost, the link is here - furaffinity.net/view/62317800/

Oof, finances

Oof budgeting and I am going to have only £100 of spare money next month after all my bills and food are sorted. Need to get on top of all the credit that I owe. :x

I think I might get rid of a couple of my domains; renamon.club and kaiju.party

Any mutuals interested?

I wish I could set up a commune for my friends (especially therians) to live so we're all close and can support each other

Ahh is there anything more British than a Rostrum Camera

(I know it's not specifically British but they were used in British TV for such a long time that it feels that way, especially as the operators were often credited as "Rostrum Camera")

OH MY FUCKING GOD

PSA for anyone who interacts with US Woodworking Online Content while Living Outside The USA: “600 grit” is not “P600”, but, like, “P1200”.
