Might not be able to fix my car after all... the part that needs replacing (the main dashboard display-thing that the machnic called the "clock", even though the actual clock is a different piece), we're struggling to find it, either 'new' or from a scrapyard.

Bookshop, the anti-amazon that gives $$ to local bookstores with every sale, now has ebooks. That’s a big deal: bookshop.org/info/ebooks

This is my car life at the moment. Needs a new main dashboard unit (aka "Clock")
If anyone can help me cover the costs to get this replaced, Ko-Fi is probably the easiest.

Colorado!!

As we move forward into the unknown, save this number in your phone:

844-864-8341

This is a hotline to report ICE activity and police/ICE collab activity. It's run by the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition.

This is bilingual (English/Spanish) hotline.

You never know who this information might help, in the words of CIRC, let's fight for a more just and welcoming Colorado for all.

Dashboard in my car died.
Fuck driving, it's actually not worth it for me, either with the cost of insurance or the stress/pain of actually driving :(

Was reminded of this image again today:

"I don't wear 🏳️‍🌈 [queer pride] items to tell you who's in my bed. I wear them so the family across the street knows they are safe. So the couple in the restaurant know they aren't alone. So the boy who sees me notice him looking at dresses knows I won't judge. I wear because you make them hide."

Ever since seeing this, I have been wearing progressive pride buttons on each of my jackets and coats (and a cap).

Pawperty Damage now has steam trading cards. Some of them are just of the various character's paws. they really, truly do know their market.

what i'm saying is that even though it's very, very barebones as a game, you should get pawperty damage because it's funny as fuck and actually kinda fun, works great on steamdeck, and i'm just tickled by people now being able to effectively sell feetpics on the steam marketplace.

Have you had that "Upcoming price change for your Microsoft 365 subscription" email yet? They want to charge you an extra 50%ish for AI features, and they do *not* make it easy to find the way to turn it off. It took me minutes of searching - this is a particularly evil dark pattern.

"Switch plan" just lets you pick between annual and monthly billing. You want "Turn off recurring billing" and then "Current subscription without AI".

You're welcome. Please boost for others.

idea: wikipedia for file format documentation
it shows how different file formats work and cites different sources

Sometimes the kicker about being disabled is realising we have to help eachother, donate to eachother, because nobody else will. You start to lose all faith and trust in able bodied people and their ability to care

In the face of Stephen Fry’s mask-off transphobic betrayal of the queer community, please remember this world contains Sandi Toksvig.

for the seats in the back:

ChatGPT IS NOT A SEARCH ENGINE. it is an autocomplete. that's it. that's literally all it is and all it was ever designed to be. the "information" it gives you is *exactly* as reliable as cutting up a newspaper into words and pulling those words out of a box and saying it's "the news." stop using it as a fucking search engine!!

FYI O&O ShutUp10++ is a tool that allows you to disable most of Windows user-hostile features (as well as anti-features) from a very simple UI.

It has plain text explanations of what every toggle does, what are their effect on 3rd party software as well as suggested settings.

It's really useful, you can find it here: oo-software.com/en/shutup10
