seriously i just want a 16:9 image with centered text

do i have to like, do it out in html and css and then screenshot the page

is there really no other software that can help me do that because kdenlive can't

it's 2017 and linux still doesn't have an image editor. none. not one exists.

@squirrel i think u can install photoshop via WINE. but i know Krita and Inkscape exist for sure. we were using them during my degree. but ya WINE + ps.

@azka yeah none of those options are good and i know about all of them already thank you

@squirrel GIMP is a weirdo for sure, but here's a quick GIF of how to specifically just that with it.

(I avoided GIMP for years, then I saw one really good tutorial on it that got me past the block, now I use it every day. I know it's stupid non-intuitive.)

@squirrel (P.S. pls don't hate me for suggesting GIMP. Just I know how it can do this specific task. 😓)
