hey what's a cool DE/WM for a 1024x768 screen? needs to have mouse support and not be tiling, i like my computers stuck in the 90s

currently using xubuntu 16 with stock xfce (with fonts made smaller to compensate for small screen)

@squirrel maybe it would be better with 90's DE/WM like: cwm, twm, fvwm

@lanodan i just realized fvwm was what i was using a long time ago but the modern linux port was VERY crashy

other than that, i quite liked it :(

@squirrel Well, I haven’t used it for something like 15 years or so, but I know the others are maintained.

@squirrel openbox worked well for me when I was using stacking WMs, lots of customisation and keeps mostly out of the way
